Growing up on the U.S. West Coast, some of my earliest memories were shaped by the rhythm of the sea—exploring the shorelines of Washington, Oregon, and California, and discovering a lifelong appreciation for the calm and beauty of coastal landscapes. That love of the ocean eventually carried me beyond the Pacific, from the sun-drenched shores of the Gulf Coast to the volcanic beauty of the Hawaiian Islands, and onward to the turquoise waters of Mexico’s Caribbean coast. Along the way, I’ve been inspired by the tropical paradises of the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and Antigua, as well as the dramatic, rugged coastlines of Italy and the island of Sicily, where culture, cuisine, and coastal beauty intertwine effortlessly.
